Founder and President of PrairieView, Craig Koshyk brings over 25 years of experience to the classroom as a photographer, artist, writer and educator. His images are found in private and public collections in North American and Europe and have appeared in local, national and international publications.
A versatile, hybrid shooter, with over 80,000 (yes, 80 thousand!) Instagram followers, Simeon makes both digital and film a part of his workflow and is known for his strong mobile imagery. Equally comfortable talking about Mozart or megapixels, Simeon discovered a passion for photography while enrolled in the Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba and graduated from PrairieView's Diploma program in 2015.
Husband, father, and professional photographer Daniel Menheer graduated from the PrairieView Diploma Program in 2007. Since then he has dedicated himself to photographing the natural world around him and enjoying life with his two wonderful children as a stay-at-home dad. Daniel's aim at PrairieView is to inspire new and upcoming artists to explore the light upon the land.
PrairieView's Director, Lauralee Burstahler oversees the daily functions of the school and ensures a safe, supportive and positive environment for our students and staff. Her friendly personality and efficient working style ensure smooth functioning of the day-to-day operations at the school.
After earning a BA in Geography, Caroline decided to pursue photography full time by enrolling in Prairieview's diploma program. She graduated in 2012 with honors in Creative Imaging and was selected class Valedictorian. Her creative collaborations with artists, actors and musicians have been featured in a variety of venues from The Winnipeg Fringe Festival to Tribe Fest, and the Master Playwrights' Festival.
Matt Duboff graduated from Brandon University in 2003 with a degree in Music Education and worked for many years as a teacher and a freelance musician. In 2014 he completed the PrairieView diploma program. He continues his involvement in the arts industry as a performing arts photographer shooting for the Winnipeg Folk Festival, Brandon Jazz Festival, Brandon Dance Ensemble, Winnipeg Studio Theatre and 7 Ages Productions.
Bram Singleton graduated from PrairieView in 2006 and soon became our resident Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom expert. He possesses the rare ability to demystify even the most daunting software teaching students to organize, edit, enhance and deliver professional level photographs.
Since graduating from PrairieView in 2007, Casey has traveled on international press trips throughout the Middle East, Europe, Asia. Her photos have appeared in international travel and wedding magazines. Casey has also photographed weddings all over Canada and destination weddings worldwide.
After graduating from PrairieView in 2012, Sarah Sgambato opened her photography business and started her dream career as a wedding photographer. Her love of people and of capturing moments as they happen has given her the opportunity to photograph everything from newborns to families, baptisms to weddings as well as commercial and dance school portraits.
